Illiteracy

Webinar & Interactive Workshop
Wednesday 26th October
Time: 12:00 – 13:30

Nearly 20% of the UK population is functionally illiterate. This shocking statistic impacts on all areas of life, including the workplace. Illiteracy costs workplaces untold sums of money due to the errors that are made, and it also creates a sense of shame and stigma. In this session, we’ll explore what illiteracy is, how it affects organisations and companies, and what you can do about it. We will offer concrete suggestions for how you can navigate illiteracy and best support your employees and colleagues.

Sex/Gender: Recognition & Identity

Webinar & Interactive Workshop
Thursday 27th November
Time: 12:00 – 13:30

In the last couple of years, much has been discussed, argued and fought over with the prevailing “gender wars.” In this session, we go back to the basics and unpack key terms, such as distinguishing between sex, gender, gender identity and gender expression, to name a few.
What is the difference between being gender inclusive as opposed to gender neutral? Are they one in the same or if not, how do they differ? What are the benefits and limitations of using either?
This session comes with an update to reflect conversations around the Supreme Court Rulings on gender definitions in the UK.

Resilience and Burnout

Webinar & Interactive Workshop
Friday 28th November
Time: 11:00 – 12:30

This training session looks at the dynamic nature of resilience, both from a well-being perspective and the other, within the lens of flourishing in an often-demanding, workplace environment. Throughout history there have been numerous famous figures who have spoken about scheduling a nap into their day, to help increase their productivity and creativity. It has also been proven that among emergency department physicians and nurses who go on long 12-hour shifts, having a power nap is essential to balancing the demands of the job. Whilst this workshop will look at the strategies for coping with demanding workloads, it will also look at the ability to bounce back, and unpack the tenets of individual resilience and organisational resilience?
