When people think of bystander training within the workplace, it’s typically within the context of bullying and harassment. Within the context of harassment, which spans a broad range of discriminatory practices, such as racial, ableist, religious, and class discrimination for instance, there is a large emphasis on sexual harassment. How do you become an active bystander and step into challenge unwanted or inappropriate behaviours of a sexual/sexist nature?
This session will look at what it means to be a bystander in challenging situations and give you the tools and the confidence to challenge, call out, and report inappropriate behaviours in the workplace.
